Global Wind Day "Get Out In The Wind" Wind Farm Open Day
Mountain Lodge opened their Wind Farm to the public on Friday 14th June to help celebrate Global Wind Day.
Local school groups visited on the day, and got a close-up view of a working Wind Turbine Generator. The students got to see first hand how Irelands clean green energy in generated, by exploring the very wind turbines that are powering their family homes and community. The students decorated the Wind Turbine they visited. The next time they turn on a light or use their devices they will know how the power they use is being generated and will help them understand how they use energy in their own lives 💨💡⚡️
